Although the election is nearly 10 months away, Paul Levy has garnered the support of hundreds of Newton residents so far. Levy, who has lived on Oxford Road for the past 40 years, registered with the office of campaign finance late last year, but made it official Tuesday, announcing he was running for the open Ward 6 seat on the Newton School Committee.

David Charles Mish, Jr., 41 of West Allis, has been charged with unlawful entry and violent entry and disorderly conduct and appeared before a federal judge in Milwaukee on Friday, according to FOX6. According to the court filing, Mish told the D.C. Metropolitan Police on Jan. 7, the day after the insurrection, he had information about the death of Ashli Babbit, an Air Force veteran from San Diego who was shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer as she attempted to get into the House Speaker s Lobby.

Arizonans Over 65 Will Get Access To Coronavirus Vaccines Earlier

Starting Tuesday, Arizona residents in that age group will be able to register for a vaccine starting at 9 a.m. in several counties vaccinating in prioritized Phase 1B and at the state s two mass sites in Phoenix. Arizona s Vaccine and Antiviral Prioritization Advisory Committee met on Wednesday to approve the new federal guidelines. The new guidance brought more doses to the state and will add another 750,000 people to the state s pool of eligibility. Previously, Arizonans over 75 had been added to this phase of the vaccination plan.

A Yiddish Schmooze with Zalmen Mlotek

Franklin) On January 31, 2021, the Workers Circle will present a Yiddish Schmooze featuring Zalmen Mlotek, the Artistic Director at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, which presented the award-winning Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish and whose parents were integral members of the Workers Circle and passionate proponents of Yiddish culture. During the hour-long virtual event, Director of Yiddish Programming Nikolai (Kolya) Borodulin will talk with Mr. Mlotek not only about Yiddish theatre but his parents work and legacy. Zalmen Mlotek had served as the cultural director of the Workers Circle for many years. The event will be held on Sunday, January 31 starting at 2:00 PM.
