Two invite-only industry readings will be held for The Radium Girls: A Jaw-Dropping New Musical on October 30th, 2023 at 11:30am and 3:30pm. The readings are directed by Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur and will be held at New 42 Studios.

The watch worn by Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon in the upcoming biographical thriller Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, is reported to be a one-of-a-kind radioactive watch. The watch features luminous paint that glows in the dark due to the presence of the radioactive element radium. The paint was previously used by Radium Girls, who suffered from terrible deaths after swallowing bits of radium every day while painting dials, leading to a ban on the paint in 1968.
Unicoi County High School Drama will present “Radium Girls” by D.W. Gregory on Friday, April 14, and Saturday, April 15, at 7 p.m.in the Unicoi County High School Auditorium.
