The filmmaking duo behind “The Hangman at Home VR” has further expanded the project into three new iterations, while simultaneously developing a separate animated feature. In June alone, the Kranots will launch three new standalone versions of their award-winning project, which is adapted from a Carl Sandburg poem, at three different events. More from Variety A short film version, co-produced by Denmark, France, and Canada, recently claimed the Golden Dragon at the Krakow Film Festival, while the project will take two different forms at the NewImages and Tribeca festivals.

Catch Tribeca s immersive selections at Casino Luxembourg - Delano

A virtual and extended reality exhibition kicks off at Casino Luxembourg starting 9 June, giving visitors a chance to experience 13 films, including six world premieres and three immersive selections from this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The “New Images - XR3” event, initiated by NewImages Festival the virtual and digital side of Paris, Tribeca and Cannes XR includes four VR stations and runs internationally through partner satellite venues. During a Friday press briefing, Film Fund Luxembourg director Guy Daleiden explained that while immersive is more difficult to arrange than normal film, he was “very excited” about the upcoming event at the Casino Luxembourg, an organisation with which “we’ve been in relation in VR for many years, and they offered us the location to show the 13 works issued from the festivals.”
