Some seven years after solving the case of Los Angeles notorious serial killers, the Hillside Stranglers, LAPD homicide investigator Frank Salerno had another menacing case on his hands: the killer who came to be known as the Night Stalker. This four-part docuseries chronicles the series of gruesome murders and sexual assaults committed by Richard Ramirez from June 1984 to August 1985, the exhausting investigation that also included young detective Gil Carrillo, and the panic that washed over the entire city. Salerno, Carrillo, family members of victims, survivors, and media help tell this disturbing story, recounting the race to stop Ramirez before his list of victims men, women, and children ranging in age from six to 82 could become larger.
