Srimangal tourists fined for violating health rules Photo: Star Star Digital Report Star Digital Report A mobile court today fined tourists Tk 10,800 for visiting different places without maintaining health rules in Srimangla upazila of Moulvibazar. Local administration is conducting the drive to stop public gatherings at the tourist spots in a bid to prevent transmission of Covid-19. The mobile court has been conducted by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md Nesar Uddin with assistance from Srimangal police, local Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nazrul Islam told our Moulvibazar correspondent. Photo: Star Our Correspondent, Patuakhali Our Correspondent, Patuakhali Illegal structures are being built on Bharani khal in Dhankhali union under Kalapara upazila of the district, causing hindrance to the normal flow of water in the canal. There are 10 villages, including paved roads, on both sides of the nine-km-long canal from Devpur dam to Londa area. About five thousand farmers of the villages cultivate several thousand acres of agricultural land through this single canal.
