University of Kentucky College of Education faculty are part of a team designing artificial intelligence-based games to reach students learning mathematics.
The seniors, majoring in elementary education and special education, spent weeks gaining experience in classrooms across the school district and taking coursework focused on curriculum development. The final day of class, known as "unit day," is a culminating hands-on activity for the practicum semester, showing skills gained in designing and teaching an interdisciplinary unit of instruction.
“We are seeking K-12 teachers from anywhere in the U.S. who taught during the pandemic, or who were student teaching during the pandemic, to respond to a survey that will collect information on access to resources and the types of demands being faced as our schools return to normal,” said Molly Fisher, Ph.D., principal investigator and professor of STEM education in the College of Education.
