Jesse Ruiz graduated from the University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was appointed to the University of Illinois Board of Trustees by Gov. JB Pritzker on Oct. 27. Ruiz received his juris doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 1995 and has served on the board of many Chicago.
