The funeral service was preceded by tributes from former Parliamentary colleagues and other mourners as the body lay for public viewing in the temporary Parliament Building.
Former Member of Parliament for Central Kingstown, Conrad Sayers will be accorded an official funeral. Sayers died on Saturday December 30,2023 after a period of illness. The minimum wage in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for full time workers has been increased to one thousand dollars (EC$1,000) as government seeks to improve the condition of employment for all workers. The new minimum wages will not only be for full time, monthly workers, but also daily paid workers. The increased wages form part of the 2024 National Budget which was presented by Minister of Finance, Camillo.
