Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro have returned to full training with Manchester United after prolonged periods out through injury.
Martinez has been sidelined with a recurrence of a foot injury suffered last season, having not played since United’s 4-3 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September.
Casemiro, meanwhile, has not featured since limping off during United’s Carabao Cup fourth round defeat to Newcastle United in November.
United confirmed that both players resumed training with the rest of Erik ten Hag’s squad on Wednesday, having previously been working on an individual.
When Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos Sport group finally take charge of football operations at Manchester United, and begin the process of unravelling years of shambolic recruitment, they could do worse than adopt the mantra: ‘No more Donny van de Beeks’.
