Dr Jitendra hosts Farewell Lunch for Azad, retiring Rajya Sabha MPs
NEW DELHI: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today hosted a Farewell Lunch for Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad and other retiring Rajya Sabha MPs from Jammu & Kashmir at his residence here.
Retiring Rajya Sabha members Shamsher Singh Manhas, Mir Mohammad Fayaz were also joined by senior Rajya Sabha member and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, MoS Home Incharge J&K V. Krishna Reddy and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Jammu, Jugal Kishore Sharma.

Kolkata: Inaugurating multiple central government projects like the BPCL LPG terminal and the Dhobi-Durgapur Natural gas line at Haldiaâs Petrochem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that with the upcoming projects undertaken by the BJP-led central government, Kolkata will be once again the industrial hub of eastern India.
âThe BJP government is striving hard to uplift the status of eastern India. Today, foundation stones of four new projects have been laid. Once these projects start, not only will employment be generated for eastern India, but also people of Bihar, Jharkhand, and even the North-East will benefit,â mentioned the Prime Minister, adding that the âOne nation, one gas grid is necessary for India.

The Opposition parties on Friday came down heavily on the Naveen Patnaik government, saying it failed to protect its own land with neighbouring Andhra Pradesh reportedly conducting panchayat elections in three of Odisha villages.
Both Odisha and Andhra Pradesh have been at loggerhead over the jurisdiction pertaining to Kotia gram panchayat in Odisha’s Koraput district for several decades.
As per reports from Koraput district, Andhra Pradesh is scheduled to hold panchayat election in three villages Talaganjeipadar, Patusineri and Phagunseneri in Kotia gram panchayat by changing their names to Ganjeibadara, Pattuchennuru and Pagluchennuru on February 13. Nominations have been filed for the post of sarpanch and ward members from the three villages.
