Longtime friends Matthew Boyd, Daniel Norris approach critical 2021 season

They’re not young anymore. In fact, it might not be long before they fly the coop.
Matthew Boyd and Daniel Norris, two left-handed pitchers who came to Detroit as part of a package of prospects in the 2015 David Price trade, are now veterans.
They came up through the minor leagues together, had bumpy debuts for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2014 and 2015 and fought through ups and downs during their tenures in Detroit.
Daniel Norris has spent past offseasons driving across the country in a van, surfing off the coast of Nicaragua and hiking through the mountains of Hawaii. His biggest trip this offseason was a trek last week to Matthew Boyd's home in Seattle, complete with a trip down memory lane. It
