December 24, 2020 Written by Ernest Jjingo
The Kampala traffic jam can be hectic and tedious especially during the rush hours, and the Kampala-Jinja highway is notorious for having migraine-triggering traffic, all day.
But some Kampalans have had that problem sorted, for years now. The Uganda Railways Corporation commuter train (Kayoola, as it used to be known in its heyday) can save the day. For close to three years now, ever since the railways corporation resumed having a passenger service, some people are enjoying a faster and cheaper way in and out of Kampala, daily.
