The Hillcrest Academy boys golf team is back on the links Monday when they travel to Heritage Oaks outside of Mediapolis to take on the Bulldogs. In their most recent action, the Ravens finished second in a quadrangular to MEPO at Blue Top Ridge on Thursday, while beating Highland and Lone Tree. On the season, the Ravens are led by London Schrock with a 46 average per nine holes. He also has the low round for Hillcrest on the year at 44. Mediapolis is led on the season by Tyler Samuel with his 43 average, and low round of 43 on the season to lead the Bulldogs. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. at Heritage Oaks.

PORTLAND, Ore. From the outside, you probably wouldn’t say 6-year-old Cameron Kirks and 17-year-old Tyler Samuel are living the dream.
“School was not fun especially being in high school, especially now,” said Tyler, now a high school senior.
Tyler was diagnosed with sickle cell disease when he was six. Cameron was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis at age 4, a rare cancer where excessive immune system cell build up in the body.
