The Lufkin Police Department on Friday announced the indictments of some thirteen members of a gang known as âJaccBoyWorldâ, and police say they are charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity related to several felony crimes, including a shooting outside of a middle school, a drive-by shooting which endangered four children, and also a police pursuit.
Police say nine of the suspects are in custody, while four remain at large.
According to police, the gang members are accused of being involved in the January 29th, 2020 shooting LaPatrick Wright in front of Lufkin Middle School. Wright survived.
Police say the gang members are also accused of being involved in a February 5th, 2020 police pursuit involving a stolen pickup truck with weapons involved.
