Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): YouthNet, in partnership with All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA), conducted a two-day capacity building training for local taxi drivers its office in Kohima on November 24 and 25. Speaking at the launch programme, Nuneseno Chase, director of YouthNet, has stressed on the importance of training the local taxi drivers as they are the first point of contact and the face of Nagaland for tourists, who visit the towns and villages. He added that they have become the backbone of the tourism industry in particular as they represent the city or town they operate in, an update from YouthNet stated. Delivering a short speech on the occasion, Sobu, ANTA convenor, acknowledged YouthNet and Nagaland Tourism department for their support and assistance in training the drivers and giving them exposure to professionalism at work. He was accompanied by Neibalie, member of ANTA action committee. The training programme was launched by Veyielo Duolo, additional director of Tourism.
