Electric Car Sales: Under a new medium-term planning agreement with the government, the industry is set to agree to an interim goal of 800,000 electric vehicle sales by 2027, up from 200,000 in 2022, according to a finance ministry briefing.
Electric Vehicles: The report detailed that electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) constituted over 55% of the annual EV sales, totaling 41,35,077 units by the end of FY2024. The passenger electric three-wheeler (E3W P) followed with approximately a 32% market share.
