tv news cameras record bright yellow and orange flames raging out of control. towering clouds of thick smoke turn from the inferno. firefighters try to contain the chemical fuel blaze but it s an uphill battle. the flames spread through the facility and find storage tanks of chemicals that erupt, causing a gigantic fireball. as day turns to night, huge bright clouds of fire rip through the dark sky. officials warn residents to keep windows and doors shut as toxic clouds of smoke billow into the air. the fire is so intense, shipping traffic on the nearby river is suspended for safety. it takes 200 firefighters two full days to bring the massive fire under control. fortunately, none of the 50 employees of the chemical facility or any firefighters are injured.
