An 81-year-old man has been accused of shooting a man to death at his Narrowsburg home on Saturday.
John Rhodes is accused of killing Anthony Williams at 12:19 p.m. at Rhodes home on Lake Country Lane, according to a complaint filed in Tusten Town Court. Rhodes was allegedly found with a .33-caliber rifle.
Williams, 24, was a resident of Fremont.
Rhodes was arrested by state police and charged with second-degree murder and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.
In 2004 he pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a machine gun, according to the complaint.

NARROWSBURG, NY - With two weeks to go before the second annual Upper Delaware Litter Sweep, the Upper Delaware Council (UDC) is hoping for the similar consideration from New York Department of Transportation (NyDOT) as they have received from their Pennsylvania counterpart.
The UDC has ready a force of volunteers to seek and seize litter from the highways, byways and river access on both sides of the river in the corridor along the 73.4 mile Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River. The litter pickup is scheduled April 17-25.

New York man arrested for alleged participation in Capitol riot
Federal agents have arrested a 26-year-old New York resident for his alleged participation in the January 6 US Capitol riot in Washington, DC, a federal law enforcement source tells CNN.
The agents arrested Edward Jacob Lang of Tusten, New York, on Saturday afternoon, the source said.
“Decisions and consequences. Edward Lang is in custody for the ones he made during the assault on our Capitol,” FBI New York Assistant Director In Charge William F. Sweeney Jr. said in the statement.
“FBI special agents and employees have sworn an oath to support and defend our Nation’s Constitution. We will continue to track down and hold accountable those who attempt to violently subvert it,” Sweeney added, without providing any other detail surrounding the arrest.
