the supreme court to stay out of a fight between them and president trump s accountants. the president s lawyers want the high court to overturn a lower court s ruling, telling the accountants to hand over financial records. the justices are expected to decide in the coming days whether to grant the president s effort to delay and maybe reverse the lower court s decision. time to look at what our sources are saying. julia ainsley joins me now. julia, you are talking about a policy called remain in mexico, right? and some new reporting that you have on the potential expansion of that. talk me through it. that s right. we obtained emails last night that show that as of today, the department of homeland security plans on expanding that policy. that means taking asylum-seekers and forcing them back into mexico to wait for their court date. they may come in for one court date, and overall, lawyers are saying they can have to wait up to a year in mexico. one of the things that we ve seen
it seemed like we had a new piece of evidence, a new witness coming forward and there s always the possibility that the president himself could say something to throw this inquiry into a new direction. so with that aside, here s what we know. over the next couple of days, next week or so, we expect that intel democrats, the committees who have been running this investigation thus far, will put together their report on what they know, what we ve learned from the hearings and closed-door depositions. we will hand that off to the judiciary committee, whose job it is to write any articles of impeachment that they deem necessary. judiciary will have at least one open hearing and markups. they will ultimately, if they continue to decide to move forward, produce an article or more than one article of impeachment that then goes to the house floor. that could be several days of debate on the floor of the house before the house ultimately votes on this. if they pass an article or two out of the
