So, it snowed.
I donât know about you, but I was pretty pumped. Last year, we didnât even manage to get an inch; this year â before Christmas even! â we got our first full-fledged, shut-it-down, donât-even-think-about-getting-in-the-car, wait-is-that-ice-too storm. And believe it or not, that storm helped Jefferson County, West Virginia, go viral.
Or, well, at least a letter did.
For those who havenât seen it yet (and I canât imagine there are a lot of you), Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Bondy Shay Gibson sent out a letter on Tuesday that read:
âFor generations, families have greeted the first snow day of the year with joy. It is a time of renewed wonder at all the beautiful things that each season holds. A reminder of how fleeting a childhood can be. An opportunity to make some memories with your family that you hold on to for life.
