Guwahati/Agartala, May 1 : The third phase of Covid vaccination for people in the 18-44 age group was delayed by some days in most of the northeastern states as the companies are unable to meet the supply of vaccines due to huge demand in the region, where the cases have been alarmingly rising, Ministers and officials said on Saturday.
The third phase of Covid inoculation drive covering those above the age of 18 years began on Saturday in some states in India including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

Guwahati/Agartala, Dec 29 : As the people across the world keenly await a Covid-19 vaccine, a mock-drill, called dry-run, of coronavirus vaccination was done effectively involving 250 health workers on Monday and Tuesday in two northwestern districts of Assam: Sonitpur and Nalbari. All the 250 health workers spontaneously participated in the dry-run of the vaccination without any technical hitch or any other problem, said a senior official of the National Health Mission (NHM), which had been mandated to carry out the task.

AGARTALA: After Gujarat, Kerala and a few other States, the Tripura government has started distribution of a Homeopathic drug to boost the immunity of the people against coronavirus, officials said on Thursday.
Tripura Government Medical Officer (Homeopathic) Surjya Sen said that following the advice of the Union AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) Ministry, the State s Directorate of Health Services has started distribution of Homeopathic drug Arsenicum Album-30 from Wednesday to improve the immunity of the people in a bid to curb the nCoV infection.
