Good With People after his victory in the Golden State Juvenile
A prompt favorite in the Golden State Juvenile Nov. 7 at Del Mar, Good With People will try two turns for the first time in the $100,000 King Glorious Sunday at Los Alamitos
Named in honor of the winner of the 1988 Hollywood Futurity and 1989 Haskell, the King Glorious is restricted to 2-year-olds bred or sired in California. The race at one mile is the feature attraction on the final day of the Los Angeles County Fair Winter Thoroughbred meet.
The King Glorious attracted a dozen entrants, but only 10 will be allowed to start.
A gate-to-wire winner of the Pike Place Dancer Oct. 31 over the turf at Golden Gate Fields, I’m So Anna returns to the scene of her maiden victory in the $100,000 Soviet Problem Stakes Saturday at Los Alamitos.
Restricted to 2-year-old fillies bred or sired in California, the Soviet Problem attracted 11 entrants, but only 10 will be allowed to start. The also eligible is Eddie’s New Dream.
The race, which is part of the Golden State Series, is the eighth of nine Saturday. Post time is 12:30 p.m. Scheduled post time for the one-mile Soviet Problem is 3:58 p.m.
Owned by breeder KMN Racing LLC and trained by Steve Sherman, I’m So Anna, a daughter of Fast Anna and the Jet West mare So So Fast, has won twice in five starts and banked $100,740.
