Authorities said two suspects are in custody after leading multiple police agencies on a high speed police chase on Wednesday that went across state lines and ended in a collision that caused a police car to roll multiple times.
The pursuit continued into Arkansas, involving officers from Tonitown and Springdale. When the U-Haul reached Interstate 49 in Springdale near Exit 70, Tontitown Police Chief Corey Jenison hit the van in order to stop it.
Cory Mercier and Trenton Johnson, both 21 years old, were on their way back home to Michigan when they led police in Arkansas and Oklahoma on a high-speed chase.
