The Michigan Department of Treasury is reminding Michiganders that the deadline for state and federal income taxes is May 17.
With a week left until the deadline, accountants say it’s important to get all their documents in order quickly to file on time.
Professional Tax Service in Traverse City says they’ve seen an increase in tax drop-offs and phone or zoom calls with their clients in order to meet their needs amidst the pandemic. They say there is still time to file an extension until Oct. 15, but you won’t be off the hook for any money you owe.
