our thoughts and prayers on behalf of the president-elect and myself for president bush and barbara. they are on the hearts of every american. this morning we understand they had a good night last night but we encourage every american to remember president bush and his wonderful wife, barbara, in their prayers. 72 days ago we elected donald trump to the 45th president of the united states of america. 71 days ago donald trump set an ambitious schedule. prior to this inauguration and he asked me to chair the transition effort. and i was grateful and honored to be given the opportunity to do just that. when we took over, i was impressed with the work that governor christie and the transition team had done prior to the election, more than 170 interviews had already been done prior to election day. i m pleased to report that as of this morning s announcement

really the focal point of mid town manhattan since election day, and that s trump tower, notable for the people coming in and out these days, and a notable visitor today. absolutely. a good reminder although we are watching these confirmation hearings there is still a transition effort on the way and still a lot of activity at trump tower where the president-elect and his team is at the moment. so few minutes ago maureen la penn who is the fund national as we would say it here, the far right political party in france was seen in trump tower having a coffee right there. you can see from this twitter picture that she s having a coffee in the downstairs atrium of the trump lobby. after this she was seen getting into that elevator that we see on television so much. trump gets in and out of it. his team gets in and out of it. other people that work in the building do get in and out of it. she was seen taking that
president of the united states of america. i am pro foundly honored and humbled that i will take the oath of office to serve as vice president of the united states nine days from today. but i am even more honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with a new president who will make america great again. now, the president-elect s leadership and his energy during the campaign was impressive. but as the chairman of the transition effort, i can assure the american people that his energy and his vision during the course of this transition has been even more inspiring. to see the way he has brought together men and women of extraordinary capability at a historic pace in this cabinet, 19 of the 21 cabinet officials have been announced, nine
