Federal government pays the full freight. Obviously it is a humanitarian crisis. It is a tremendous problem for the nation to have all these undocumented children. You know, my first concern is the health and safety of these children. And we do have to look at that. I wanted to make sure as soon as they came across the border that we took care of their immediate needs, fed, clothed, housed, took care of any medical attention. Al think it made a lot of sense for maryland to try to bring more. We have taken ten times more per capita than any other state. I just dont think its fair to the taxpayers or to the children really to be bused thousands of miles away from their point of origin to be put into maryland. Its just did not make sense. We have a little bit of a disagreement. We want to take care of the kids, and i think its administration has been too aggressive. Thank you. Moderator oh, that was our bottle. People watching us right now have a genuine concern about their safety. Even t

Pennsylvania and new york pay their fair share. Thats one of the major problems with having clean up the bay. And to protecting our environment. The most important problem weve had is the omalleybrown administration. It. This administration has rated 1. 3 billion out of Environmental Trust fund. They took 460 million out of program open space. They took money out of the chesapeake restoration fund. They took money out of the Chesapeake Bay trust. When you buy the tags, they took the money out of there. 1. 3 billion was raided in one of these trust funds. One thing we wont do, we wont raid the trust fund will try to replenish all the money and focus on the real problem in the bay and the so we will do in our administration. The rain tax is universally hated by most people in the state. Thats the only solution theyve come up with. The rain that falls on your house, i can tell you ive been going from one end of the state to the other. People everywhere just are disgusted with that. Thats

Instead of an effective response, what we have witnessed, i believe these past few months from various agency has been confusing and at times contradictory plans. For example, the cdcs guidance to hospitals has been a moving target. This uncertainty may have exposed Health Care Professionals to unnecessary risks. The administration also has sent mixed messages on the issue of quarantine. While the president has discouraged straight quarantine rules, defense secretary hagel has prudently put in place a 21day mandatory quarantine for troops returning from west africa. In addition, the administration did not call for enhanced airport screenings for travelers entering the u. S. From west africa until months after the epidemic became severe. It still remains to be seen whether these cursory screenings will be effective. Not surprisingly, americans have been frustrated by the lack of clarity and coordination within their government. Even though the president has named a socalled ebola czar t

And not zero risk maybe you would have liked that. If you are, were going out the door. Right. Doctor, to dr. Freeden, head of the centers for Disease Control, what can you say to the American People today about their and its widespread of a possibly Ebola Outbreak in this country . We certainly understand peoples concerns. Ebola is scary, deadly. And the images from africa are frightening. But ebola spreads by direct contact with we know unsafe care giving in the home or Health Care Facility and unsafe burial practices. The burial practices that are spreading ebola in west africa are not things that we do here, not to be concerned about. But care giving is. That means for every individual who comes back from a place that may have ebola, very important to be monitored actively for 21 days. At the first sign of any symptom, even if its not severe illness, what were seeing now is, as appropriate. People are coming in, being tested. Coming in and being isolated. As soon as that happens, w

And then i mentioned the 21 days added on, we need to fight against that and try to inject reasoning into that. The infrastructure, so i have been kind of not intentionally but finding myself playing a role of a spoiler in some of the meetings like this. Not that im opposed. Sometimes there are realistic expectations. These are the sorts of settings. This is an ebola treatment center, the upper one is in the creek and the epicenter of the outbreak. Many other pictures, of course. These vary a lot. Here is kind of something you might see in the beginning of an outbreak, very rustic settings. Sometimes unfortunately the rustic settings what we have in west africa what we have with the capacity right now and some of these are really much less Treatment Centers but places for someone to go and hopefully get more rehydration solution, some tylenol and a lace to die out of circulation to not infect other people. When we have this sort of setting and then we contemplate something where we are
