Eight Park City School District teachers were recently honored with the annual Education Foundation Excellent Educator awards. The foundation also handed out $250,000 for classroom grants with the proceeds from this year’s Running with Ed fundraiser.
The project started more than five years ago at Trailside Elementary School as a way to help children with disabilities practice social skills, such as communication, as well as functional skills like math, and those involved say its since evolved into an essential part of the Park City School District.
In Vineyard, Utah, a crossing guard has started wearing a traffic cone costume to help raise awareness for avoiding distracted driving and speeding in school zones.
