Three Dead Bodies Went Missing after canoe accidents In Nsanje Now found

Nsanje Police Public Relations Officer Sub-Inspector Agness Zalakoma has confirmed about the issue. Zalakoma has indentified the people as Doffe Sole aged 25, Fanny Sole aged 18 all from Biyasi village in the of Traditional Authority Mbenje and Jambo Didimo aged 30 from Banzi village T/A Mbenje in Nsanje district. Meanwhile sub-Inspector Zalakoma has said that post-mortem conducted has revealed that the three died due to suffocation However following this incident Zalakoma says efforts are being made to recover one remaining missing person. Chief Mbenje Laid to Rest People described Senior Chief Mbenje as a person who advanced development in the district - pic by Christopher Sande The body of Senior Chief Mbenje of Nsanje has been buried at his headquarters with cries and tears from hundred villagers in disbelief. The burial took place last evening at around 7 PM where scores of people flocked to pay their last respects to the late Senior Chief Mbenje who died in Lilongwe Wednesday morning after succumbing to Covid-19. Member of Parliament for Nsanje Lalanje, Gladys Ganda, said the area has lost a leader with high integrity who had the welfare of his subjects at heart by championing development without greed.
