adrienne broaddus keeping that spirit high feeling okay even in the snow there. take care, though, seriously, be careful. well, the national weather service is warning of historic snowfall. cnn meteorologist jennifer gray is tracking conditions for us. jennifer, which areas will see the worst of the storm? right where adrienne is. we re talking about huge impacts across portions of the midwest, south dakota included in that as well. this could end up being one of the top five snowiest storms on record for minneapolis so that s going to be an area to watch, but barely anywhere in the country does not have a warning. we have watches and warnings stretching coast to coast, winter storm warnings, ice warnings, high wind warnings where we could see winds gusting 60 to 80 miles per hour, especially across the southwest and especially in those higher elevations so we are going to have huge impacts from this storm, especially areas shaded in red and then purple across the sierra so you c
governor john bell edwards fell below 50% voter support in last night s primary in which candidates from all parties ran. he will now have to face republican businessman in a november 16th run off. president trump touting the results after he held an election eve rally urging voters to reject governor edwards. officials now investigating whether an electrical tower might have sparked one of the several wildfires burning across southern california. officials say the largest one, the saddleridge fire is at least 41% contained after strong winds fuelling those flames calmed down overnight. meteorologist adam klotz is tracking conditions there and across the country from the fox news weather center. adam? adam: hey, there, jon, we do continue to see good news across portions of southern california as far as the winds that have been fuelling the wildfires. these are the current wind gusts. you get to the 5 to 10 miles-an-hour range that s not a whole lot. the fires won t spread nearly as
us plants to upgrade their facilities to better handle national disasters. the storm will bring in 20 to 30 inches of rain to north carolina, even up to 40 inches in isolated areas. that could bring catastrophic flooding. the office of response and recovery said they were tracking conditions and were not concerned about the plants yet. they may have point generators and duke energy said they were sitting down two of the plants before the storm right later today and it may take days or even weeks to bring power back to their customers depending on how bad the storm damage is. the commission of nuclear energy said they are sending additional inspectors to check out the plants and they have a response center in atlanta which will be monitoring the storm and any storm damage. rob: the brunswick plant got the bill i on it for the line of this storm.
