The Master's University Track & Field capped off a strong Golden State Athletic Conference Championships by winning seven more events on April 29 and placing second in both the men's and women's competitions, the highest finishes in program history.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Adriaan Wildschutt picked up his first ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week honor of the outdoor season the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
"Adriaan ran a spectacular race out at Stanford. It's not too often you get the chance to call yourself the NCAA leader in an event, and he has set himself up well for the postseason," Head Coach Bob Braman said.
Wildschutt broke the ACC record and the school record in the 10,000m run late Friday night at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Stanford, Calif. Wildschutt's time of 27:38.54 is the fastest time in the NCAA this season and puts him No. 12 on the NCAA all-time list.
Wildschutt and the rest of the Florida State track and field team will be in action May 12-14 at the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C.

CLEMSON, S.C. Guinove Joanus's outstanding performance on Saturday at the UofSC Open Meet in Columbia, S.C. earned him the ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week honor. He won both the 100 meter and 200 meter dash, setting personal bests in both events. In the 100 meter dash, Joanus blew away the competition, running a 10.16 second time, a full .10 seconds better than the runner-up. His mark put him ninth on Clemson's all-time leaderboard, and topped the group of 72 that participated in the event. Later that same day, the sophomore dominated the 200 meter dash, winning the race with a 20.37, besting the runner-up by .18 seconds and again pushing him into a Clemson top-10 list, this time the eighth slot. 20.37 stands as the 13th fastest time run in the NCAA this season.
