Massachusetts town names tend to have a certain way about them. Usually, as soon as we hear and/or read the name of a town, even if we don't know where it is, we often know whether or not that could be a town in the Bay State. It just so happens that if you were to mention a town that end with 'ham', there is a good chance that town exists in Massachusetts given the fact that there are 19 of them.
With so much history, Massachusetts has some of the oldest cities and towns throughout the entire country. So, it really only makes sense that it would be home to some of the most restaurants in the U.S. too, right? And there's not just one, but two! Not only are they two of the oldest restaurants, but they also happen to be restaurants you can still visit and grab a bite to eat.
The Appalachian Trail is long. Like, crazy long! It goes over a total distance of approximately 2,194 miles so as you can imagine, there would be plenty of awesome stuff to check out along that stretch. According to a popular travel publication, the Berkshires are one of those awesome spots!
It's always nice to get recognized for something on a national level. As is typical, what we lack in square mileage, we tend to make up for with everything else.
