Fourth of July celebrations abound in the Carson City area. Fireworks can be found in Carson City, Reno, Sparks, and at both north and south shore of Lake Tahoe. There are several daytime events going on as well, so grab the kids, friends, and family and have a great Independence Day weekend!
It’s nice that the beginning of the school year is almost immediately rewarded with a three-day weekend. You’ll find annual events like Civil War Days in Virginia City and the Best in the West Rib Cook-off in Sparks, in addition to smaller happenings like the monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk and a roller derby double-header.
Just in time for Saturday afternoon s monthly Wine Walk, sponsored by Carson City s Downtown Business Association (DBA), Simone and Greg Bartell held a grand re-opening of their Touched By Angels home and garden shop at 205 E. John Street.
Let s hear it for the first weekend of the new year, because it won t happen again for another 12 months. The first weekend of 2019 also means the first Saturday of the month, which is the day of the Downtown Business Association Monthly Wine Walk in downtown Carson City, come rain, snow, wind or shine.
