Freedom from Fossil Fuels - a climate science framework for non-scientists A note from the Skeptical Science team: Stephen Mettler recently contacted us about a slide deck he made which aims to help non-experts quickly build a foundation of climate science and clean technology knowledge. The deck can be downloaded here as a PDF (3 MB), PPTX presentation (10 MB), or viewed in a Youtube playlist with Stephen s narration. This blog post is an account of his journey to creating the slide deck. Stephen graduated from Yale in 2018 with a degree in Global Affairs, and currently works at an aerospace-focused consulting firm. He is on Twitter at @StephenMettler.

So these latest developments - reposted from the Cranky Uncle homepage - might come as a bit of a surprise! Over the past few months, I’ve been working with Facebook, in collaboration with Sander van der Linden (Cambridge University) and Tony Leiserowitz (Yale University), to debunk climate misinformation. This new project, titled “Facts About Climate Change“, launched on Facebook’s Climate Science Information Center last week.

The plot centers on the author of a fantasy novel series following a heroic teenager on a quest to end the tyrannical rule of Lord Redmane. Through a strange twist of fate, the fantasy world of the novel begins to alter life in the real world. It’s not rated.
