Four hospitalized in Monroe County rollover crash April 15, 2021 10:04 AM Logan Rude TOMAH, Wis. Four people were hospitalized Wednesday night following a rollover crash in rural Monroe County. Authorities with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area near 26537 County Highway CA shortly after 8:15 p.m. for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash. When they arrived, officials determined the vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling southbound on County Highway CA when the driver failed to keep control of the truck as she negotiated curves in the road. Officials said the truck rolled twice before it came to a rest on its wheels.  Four of the five occupants were taken to an area hospital after the crash.

Alcohol Believed to Contribute to Accident in Monroe County On Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at approximately 8:18 p.m. the Monroe County Communications Center received a report of a single vehicle rollover accident near 26537 County Highway CA.  The vehicle involved was a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.    Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.  The truck was determined to be operated by Nicole Ray, 24, of Tomah, WI.  There were four additional occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash.  The investigation determined that the truck was being driven southbound on County Highway CA, when the driver failed to maintain control as she negotiated curves in the roadway.  The truck appeared to have rolled twice before coming to rest on its wheels.  Four of the five occupants were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for their injuries.

Tomah firefighters battle blaze early Friday December 18, 2020 8:22 AM Site staff Updated: TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) Tomah firefighters battled a blaze in a residential area early Friday morning after a resident fell asleep while cooking. The Tomah Fire Department was dispatched at 1 a.m. to 417 Kilbourn Ave., a triplex, for the report of a structure fire. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters saw flames coming through the front door of the downstairs apartment. The occupant was able to escape without any injuries. Tomah police arrived first and were able to force their way into the other two apartments to get everyone out safe.
