Helen Glover says becoming the first mother to row for Great Britain at an Olympics is the ‘biggest achievement’ of her career after the double gold medallist was confirmed in the team for Tokyo.
The 34-year-old took time out from the sport to start a family following her success at Rio 2016, only announcing her comeback in January – six months out from the Games.
But Glover - who had son Logan in July 2018 and twins, Kit and Bo, in January 2020 – completed her mission ‘impossible’ yesterday when she was named in Team GB’s 45-strong rowing squad, where she will partner Polly Swann in the pair.
