The Indian IT sector is set to soar globally with AI, experts assert; US Federal agencies are mandated to test AI for bias and oversight, and much more today.
Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) have developed an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) model that shows promise in predicting the risk of long-term visual impairment
Researchers at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) have created a novel artificial intelligence (AI) model capable of forecasting the likelihood of sustained vision impairment in individuals with high myopia, a leading cause of irreversible blindness globally. The machine-learning model, developed to predict and visualize long-term visual impairment risk, demonstrates effectiveness. High myopia, extreme nearsightedness, can be corrected with contacts, glasses, or surgery, but it may result in pathologic myopia, a significant contributor to blindness.
The name will become official after necessary procedures, such as registering with the education ministry and revising the national university corporation act.
