The Japanese Self-Defence Forces and the US Military on Thursday launched a joint military exercise, titled Keen Sword, to boost their operational capabilitie
The Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. military begin a large-scale joint exercise mainly in and around Japan s southwestern islands, in an effort to boost their operational capability in those areas, with China s intensifying military activities in mind.
While the Imperial Japanese Army used portions of the poison gas weapons it manufactured mainly during the 1937-1945 Sino-Japanese War, the rest were abandoned or disposed of in China and Japan.
Japan and China recently marked the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations, but traces of around 7.46 million poison gas weapons produced mainly during their war from 1937 to 1945 remain in both countries.
