Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Sunday, declared that June 12, 1993, presidential election said to have been won by late business mogul, Chief MKO Abiola, was annulled on ‘bad belle’.
He said this shortly after his investiture .c.f.,ras a Trustee and the conferment of Late Abiola as Vice President of the Club posthumously, at the 46th President party of the prestigious Abeokuta Club, founded in 1972.
The octogenarian opined that if the election was not annulled, Egbaland would have gotten the opportunity of producing three prominent sons as number one citizens at different times.
Recall that Obasanjo was military Head of State and later a democratically elected president, with Chief Ernest Shonekan as Head of Interim National Government while Abiola would have become the third Egba indigene to administer the country if not for the annulment.

The Ogun State Civil Service Commission has conducted a qualifying written examination for 28 staff of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, seeking upgrade into various professional cadres in the civil service.
The Chairman, State Civil Service Commission, Tokunbo Odebunmi disclosed this during the exercise at the Staff Development Centre, Abeokuta.
Odebunmi said the examination conducted by the Public Service Competitive Examination Board is to test the ability, knowledge and performance of the candidates.
He explained that the applicants who sat for the examination cut across various cadres, including administration, nutrition, social welfare, accounting and information.

The Ogun State Civil Service Commission has said it has conducted an entrance examination for over 200 applicants seeking employment into the state civil service, which includes state counsels and many others.
It said this in a statement on Friday titled ‘Ogun CSC conducts entrance exams for state counsels, others’.
The first phase of the examination in the public service was conducted by the Public Service Competitive Entrance Examination Board of the State Civil Service Commission at the Staff Development Centre, Abeokuta, it stated.
Speaking during the exercise on Thursday, the chairman of the commission, Tokunbo Odebunmi, said the exercise was basically for those seeking employment into the post of state counsels and regularisation of the employees that came into the service through jobs portal.
