of course, this was a day that was student-led, student-driven, student organized. students giving the speeches. one of the most passionate speeches was by this young woman, who is one of the march organizers. you are a junior at boston latin. first, tell me how you think today went. i think it went amazing. the message we had came across through all of the speeches. it was great. this came out of the parkland massacre, the parkland tragedy. but the point that you wanted to drive home today was, it s not just about the school shootings. it s about shootings in general. that s definitely something that we wanted to come across because gun violence has definitely been around longer than parkland. and it s something that communities of color face every day. we wanted to acknowledge that. that s why the march started this morning in rocksbury, a part that sees violence. you met with senator elizabeth warren. do you have hope she and others on capitol hill can get something done?
whether it be dcf, do not allow the red flags to go ununnoticed. we have to make sure the folks on the left, editorial pages of the boston globe or whether it be the oregon democratically controlled statehouse they don t push forward for outright gun con fis indication, that s not the way to go. no one is talking about that, jason. see when you inject that kind of language that means you really don t want any solutions. we will find out what s going to happen when congress returns that s exactly right. to see if anything substantive will be taken up on this particular issue. jason miller, maria cardona thanks for the lively discussion. parkland students returning for first time to the school after the shooting 11 days ago, how some are describing the experience next. hi, i m bob harper,
