PTI Srinagar, July 21 The armies of India and Pakistan on Wednesday exchanged sweets at two places along the Line of Control in Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, the first time since 2019. To promote peace, harmony and compassion in the true spirit of the festival, the India and Pakistan armies held a flag meeting and exchanged sweets at Kaman Aman Setu, Uri and Tithwal Crossing on the Kishanganga river in Tangdhar, Kupwara, a defence spokesperson said. The exchange of sweets along the LoC on major festivals of India and Pakistan has been a feature of the engagement between the two armies, but the events were stopped in 2019 following the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF men were killed.
