The Hawaiʻi State Legislature’s Environmental Legislative Caucus is entering its third year with policy proposals that aim to address the state’s pressing environmental issues.
During the upcoming legislative session, the Working Families Caucus will sponsor five bills. They focus on raising the minimum wage, paid sick and family leave, the earned income tax credit, renter’s credit and exempting unemployment payments from personal income tax.
The bipartisan Working Families Caucus will bolster the finances of lower-income households through legislation addressing issues such as paid sick and family leave, tax credits and an increased minimum wage.
