Barbara L. Markiewicz, 86, of Laurel passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at her home. She was born May 24, 1934, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Timothy and Michalena (Kaminski) Lloyd.
Barbara worked as a field representative for IBM, retiring in 1996 after many dedicated years. She loved music and dancing at American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro. Above all, Barbara cherished time with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Lloyd. She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Markiewicz; her sons: Edward C. Markiewicz and Eric P. Markiewicz; her daughter, Michele Burke; her nine grandchildren; her three great-grandsons; her brother, Timothy Lloyd; and her sisters: Rosemarie Hultberg, Deborah Defoe and Carol Lyn
