When Macey Hartman moved back to the United States after growing up in Europe for eight years, it took her a while to find a group of friends in Tallahassee that she clicked with.
“My dad was in the Navy, so we deployed as a family and lived in Portugal, Italy, and France,” she says. “It was great to learn about different cultures and gain a broad view of different kinds of people.”
She soon found that her love of the outdoors, adventure, and challenge drew her to scouting. Macey is one of Tallahassee’s 5 Young Women to Watch for 2021.
