The Progress-Index Richard Bland’s Middle College Program gives high school students the opportunity to earn their associate’s degree while still in high school and a new class of Petersburg High School students had their orientation to the Program.  “Our local partnerships with local area high schools have been a long time running,” said Thom Addington, Director of Student Success at Richard Bland College.  Addington went to a “very rural school” himself and understands the notion that if you come from a small town, that you will stay there. He understands the value of having guaranteed transfer credit to any school in the state and what that can do for a student.
