this morning on world news now, winter unleashes her wrath on a huge section of the country. in chicago, crews are working as fast as they can to clear hundreds of cars that are literally buried under snow. and as predicted, that storm has set off a domino effect on travel nationwide. it is thursday, february 3rd. this winter that just won t end. oh, it s so brutal. good morning, everybody. i m rob nelson. and i m vinita nair. and utility crews, they re going to be pretty busy today. of course, they ve got to restore power to thousands of people. there was freezing rain and ice. it affected travel and it also snapped power lines in many areas. folks still in the dark this morning, trying to wait for that
incredible standoff here. i ve been watching this as we ve been talking, a man who was hit by a molotov cocktail, he fell to the ground. he was on fire. other supporters managed to put him out. the weapons are fairly common. they appear to be this tank is creating what seems to be some sort of smoke screen to give people cover as it heads toward a different position at least. this will be the first action we ve seen all day of the army to try and intervee and prevent egyptians from attacking other egyptians as this situation is developing and involves much, much more gunfire than we ve seen throughout the course of the entire day. good morning. it is thursday, february 3rd. that was what was unfolding in egypt live on television last
