The flood hit caravans were situated at the bottom of the park, nearest to the lake. It was traumatic and terrible for the people affected, said David. The park has never flooded like this in its entire history. Altogether 20 units were affected out of 200. Some are salvageable but others have been written off. We won t know the effects until we get a full report from the insurers. We can t put caravans onto those pitches that were flooded until we know what measures are being taken to prevent it happening again. We need to safeguard our business.
