Urbana Corporation ( Urbana ) announces a new investment in U.S. based Blue Ocean Technologies, LLC ( BOT ), a private company which facilitates the trading of U.S. listed equities in the overnight hours of 8pm ET to 4am ET.
This investment is taking place in two stages:
1) The first involves a direct payment to BOT of $1.5 million USD.
2) The second stage takes place when certain conditions are met regarding regulatory approvals, staffing and technology transfers. This will result in a second direct payment to BOT of $3 million USD.

Urbana Corporation has completed the liquidation of its remaining equity ownership in the Bombay Stock Exchange (1,016,070 shares at approximately $10 per share).
This investment had to be held in intermediary entities (Urbana Mauritius Inc. and Caldwell India Holdings Inc.) based in Mauritius.
These entities will be wound up and funds repatriated to Canada for redeployment in other areas.

TORONTO, March 12, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) â The 2008 Caldwell Family Trust (the âFamily Trustâ) announced that it has today acquired 200,000 Common Shares of Urbana Corporation (the âIssuerâ) from an existing shareholder, representing 2% of the outstanding Common Shares of the Issuer.
The transaction was effected by way of a private agreement transaction. The Family Trust purchased the securities for investment purposes only and may or may not purchase or sell securities of the Issuer in the future on the open market or in private transactions, depending on market conditions and other factors.
