Have learned the plane was registered to thomas klein in silver spring. David isaacs is a pilot who said they started testing toward the runoff. The airport advised us the runway was closed, so that was the first we heard something happened. Max this is a photo from the Anne Arundel County fire department. You can see the plane was upside down in a marshy wooded area. The first 911 call came in just before 2 00 this afternoon after investigators say the plane just took off. The crash happened just a few hundred yards away from the airstrip. Officials say the 55yearold and 80 yearold males were the only two people on board at the time and it took nearly an hour to extricate the victims from the plane. They were airlifted to area hospitals with their with serious but nonlifethreatening conditions. They were communicating with our providers and were of great assistance to us. Were glad they did not suffer more severe injuries. Because of the location, we are told rescue crews called in fo
