The operators of a group home for minors with disabilities has filed a federal lawsuit against Pointe Coupee Parish over its recently enacted ban on such homes.
The home, which is expected to be the only facility of its kind in Arkansas, will serve adults who are blind with a diagnosed intellectual or developmental disability, and older blind people who may not otherwise fit into a traditional assisted living facility.
