Doctors were puzzled by the constant swelling and fluid build-up in the knees of one of the fastest sprinters on Earth. The pain led to Frater relying on a wheelchair as he travelled around the world visiting different specialists.
It was Frater’s father, Lindel, who suggested he try cannabis oil. Within a month, the former sprinter said he felt “brand new.”
Frater’s success with cannabis pushed him to open 4/20 Sports Therapeutic Bliss, a medical cannabis dispensary, in Kingston, Jamaica.
“I started studying a lot about it and realized that a drug that has been taboo for most of my life is really a miracle drug,” Frater said at the grand opening of the store this past weekend. “It’s really a drug that once taken properly with the proper prescription, the medicinal purposes are exponential,” he suggested.
